Registering to vote is the first step in making your voice heard. If you’re a US citizen and meet Ohio’s eligibility requirements, you can register online, by mail, or in person. It’s quick and easy — just be sure to do it before the registration deadline, Monday October 6th.

Check the status of your voter registration

It’s important to check your voter registration to make sure your information is up to date. Even if you’ve voted before, changes to your name or address may require an update. Deadline to update your status is Monday, October 6th.

Request an absentee ballot

You can request an absentee ballot be mailed to you up until Tuesday, October 28th. Once your ballot has been completed, you can mail it back (must be postmarked by Monday, November 3rd) or dropped off at the Ross County Board of Elections at 475 Western Ave (Central Center) no later than Tuesday, November 4th at 7:30pm.

Download a sample ballot

You can download a sample ballot specific to your district so you can research the candidates and issues ahead of time and know exactly how you want to vote. After you fill out the sample ballot, you can take it with you to the polls as a guide.

Find your polling location

Knowing where to vote is essential for making your voice count. Your polling location may have changed, especially if you’ve moved recently or if your district has been updated.
